Bastille were already spending a good chunk of their spring touring the U.S. and today (May 12), they’ve announced that they’ll be back for another U.S. victory lap in October, crossing the northeast, midwest and Canada.
The track has Bastille frontman Dan Smith singing, “I fall into your arms again,” while playing keyboards before Haze joins him onstage to spit about using her voice as a weapon.
Bastille surprised fans with a mash-up of Michael Jackson’s emotional ‘Earth Song’ with Pulp’s anthem for the ordinary, “Common People,” complete with a four-woman backing vocal section.
“I don’t think we think of ourselves as anything in particular,” singer Dan Smith says. “We don’t see ourselves as a rock band. We don’t see ourselves as a pop band.”
Bastille is set to make an impact on this year’s American festival season, with the group scheduled to take part in Coachella, Governor’s Ball and the Hangout Music Fest.
