Aaliyah Releases First CD
Her first CD, 'Age Ain't Nothing But A Number', is released in 1994 when she is 14. Her mentor, R. Kelly, produces the CD and much of the material is written by him as well. At the same time it was revealed that Aalyiah may have been secretly married to R. Kelly.

Aaliyah's Second CD, 'One In A Million'
Aaliyah leaves Jive Records in 1996 and signs with Atlantic Records, where Timbaland and Missy Elliott collaborate with her on her second CD, 'One In A Million'. The CD peaked at #18 on the Billboard album charts.

Aayliah In 'Queen Of The Damned'
Shortly after 'Romeo Must Die', Aaliyah begins work on the movie version of the Anne Rice novel 'Queen Of The Damned', playing ancient vampire Queen Akasha. It would be her final film. She was also scheduled for the role of Zee in the 'Matrix' sequel.
