A teacher in Oklahoma was frustrated that she had to continue paying for her students school supplies. She’s gone to thrift stores and garage sales to give her students the essentials for the next year.
She makes $35,000 a year and spends $2,000 of her own money each year on school supplies.
“My husband and I were just talking that morning and he kind of jokingly said, ‘You could always make a sign and go on the corner like the panhandlers?'”
