I haven’t been to the grocery store in about a month, but my fridge is still stacked!
No, I’m not starving myself to death, but I’ve been getting groceries from one of those grocery delivery services.
Every Wednesday I get a UPS box filled with food that basically lasts about a week. The boxes come complete with meat, veggies, herbs and seasonings.
The pros of grocery delivery services is that your meals are planned, and you’re not buying more food than you need, so the whatever you don’t use is less likely to rot waiting on you to use it.
On the flip side, the biggest con of my food delivery service is that it’s a subscription service. Every week, the money is subtracted from your bank or credit card, and if your’re not expecting it, it could really though your finances out of wack. Getting out of the subscription cycle is also hard. They have an online option to unsubscribe, but it hardly ever works, so then you have to call. However, you have to make sure you do so five days before you next box of food plans to arrive, otherwise you’ll be charged for the next box. Crazy, right!
All in all I like the service. It’s made meal prepping quick and easy, and the food actually taste good too!
