A survey says that 63% of people EAT in their cars every single day and the main thing they’re eating is breakfast on their way to work.
With Memorial Day weekend around the corner, Cumberland Farms conducted a survey asking people how clean they really keep their cars. The results showed that 34% of people said they clean their cars once a season and 27% of people clean it out for road trips.
Their survey revealed the following results:
- 63% of people eat in their cars every day
- 40% of people wash their car once a month and 24% say they leave it alone and let the rain do the work.
- 43% of people fill up their tank as soon as they get down to a quarter left and 60% feel guilty because they fill up with a lower grade than recommended for their car.
Also, a study by Exxon Mobil of 1,000 drivers discovered that 70% of drivers eat while driving and 83% drink beverages when they’re on the road.
But on all seriousness, DON’T eat and drive because 65% of car crashes are caused by being distracted eating food behind the wheel. Studies show that eating while driving is as dangerous as texting while driving.
