Orlando Named No. 7 In Cities Americans Are Moving To

Oh, the City Beautiful. Best known for our theme parks, perfect weather, and diverse community of people, Orlando has landed the No. 7 spot of Forbes “TopĀ 10 Cities Americans Are Moving To Right Now.”

Forbes gathered their information from internal data within the U.S. Census Bureau and figured out that although people tend to migrate to major metropolitan cities, results don’t always follow this trend.

The study ranked the cities using factors like median home rate and the unemployment rate. According to Forbes, Orlando’s median home rate is $262,400 while the unemployment rate sits at 4.3 percent.

Two other Florida cities made the list as well, with Tampa at No. 1 and Jacksonville coming in second.

  2. Jacksonville, Florida
  3. Charlotte, North Carolina
  4. San Antonio, Texas
  5. Austin, Texas
  6. Las Vegas, Nevada
  7. Orlando, Florida
  8. Nashville, Tennessee
  9. Raleigh, North Carolina
  10. Portland, Oregon
