Don’t Party Too Hard For Spring Break

When is comes to spring break, no state does it like Florida. We have the sun, the beach, and yes, we also have the booze.

According to a Project Know study, over 40 percent of college students travel to states like Florida for spring break.

In fact, when analyzing social media data, the most #SpringBreak posts took place in Florida, and Miami Beach had almost twice as many posts as any other city in the US.

However, when looking at how many of those same #SpringBreak social media posts included alcohol and drug content, Fort Lauderdale ranked first, Miami Beach third, Panama City fourth, and Orlando ranked seventh.

Yes, it’s no secret that drugs and alcohol are regularly available to college students and that that availability increases during Spring Break, but misuse and abuse are serious issues. There’s no shame in partying hard for Spring Break, but do so responsibly, and legally.

If you or one of your friends have a problem with substance abuse or misuse, don’t be afraid to reach out to ProjectKnow.com for help!
