The City Of Orlando Rallies Behind The UCF Knights

March Madness is still going strong and the UCF Knights are still in the running to clench the National Invitational Tournament championship.

On Tuesday, March 28, University of Central Florida will face off against Texas Christian University in the NIT semifinals at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

In support of our hometown university, Mayor Buddy Dyer and the City of Commissioners are encouraging all of central Florida to wear black and gold to support the team.

The city will also light up the Lake Eola Fountain, city buildings, the SEE ART Orlando sculptures in black ad gold on Tuesday night, and a huge watch party is happening at the CFE Arena.

The NIT Semifinal game will start Tuesday, night at 9p.m. The city also urges all central Florida residents to show their support of the Knights on social media with the hashtags, #kNYghts #ChargeOn.

Welcome to the Big 🍎, @ucf.mbb! #kNYghts #⚡️🔛
