This morning I woke up and did my usual scroll through instagram only to find our very own morning show intern, Boobie, thirst trapping on the gram!
I know that the beginning of spring signifies the beginning of thirst trap season, but Boobie could have given us one whole day of spring before jumping right in to the thirst trap trend!
For those who don’t know, a thirst trap is defined by urban dictionary as “Any statement of picture used to intentionally create attention or “thirst.””
So those spring break swim suit selfies you’re posting are thirst traps. The shirtless videos guys post with sexy music playing, lip biting and captivating looks are also thirst traps, and yes, the nude pics you see with certain areas blurred out are too thirst traps.
If you’re a thirst trapper, don’t be ashamed! It’s natural to want to show yourself off especially when you feel like you look good. If you’re not a thirst trapper, but you’re itching to show that ex what he’s missing, or just show off the fruits of your gym labor, then here are some tips for posting the perfect thirst trap.
Everyone has an angle in which they can turn a cute picture into a sexy picture. Learn what angle make your booty look big or your abs pop, or your lips look juicy, or your biceps look tight, and use that to your advantage.
The perfect light will make you pop! Try taking pics in natural sunlight or in front of a window when the sunlight is shining on and not behind you (unless you’re going for a sexy silhouette pose.) Also use the light to create cool shadows to give your pics a mysterious or sensual feel.
Pick poses that are flattering to your body. If you want to look thinner, pose in ways that will make you look longer. If you want to look more curvy or you want your booty to pop, try arching your back or using your flexibility to accomplish more dramatic looking poses, but be careful not to look to awkward.
They say your best curve is your smile, but in a ton of thirst traps we see the serious sexy face. Don’t be afraid to smile in some of your thirst trap pics. Sexy doesn’t necessarily mean serious.
Fun night for the Velvet Blues Kid. Thank you Academy, entire hard working production crew (many of you filthy animals Ive known for years) and all involved in making our big night a huge success. Including my boys and girls of the LAPD managing all the "logistics" and the wonderful pain in the ass Oscar traffic jams. Congrats to all the Oscar winners and big shout out to my buds Mike De Luca and his producing partner Jen Todd for putting on a helluva show as the Oscars' new producers. You killed it Kimmel. And even though our 2x nominated MOANA did not win the Oscar, I was still able to go home and drown my sorrows in shots of tequila and two large pizzas. Everyone wins. 🥃🍕 Thanks again Academy. What a night!
