Ben Affleck has completed treatment for his alcohol addiction and wrote a positive message on social media regarding his recovery. He entered rehab in 2001, according to CBSNews.
Affleck says he wants to live his life to the fullest and be the best father he can be for his kids. “I want my kids to know there’s no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step.”
Affleck knows from his own personal experience how it is to live with an alcoholic and how it effects the kids because his own father struggled with addiction and split from his mom when he was 12.
In other good news, Affleck and Garner are “rumored” to be calling off their divorce plans and will be working on their marriage.
