She’s bubbly, and seemingly always happy, but just as human as the rest of us. Chrissy Teigen, who’s on the cover of the April issue of Glamour, makes what many may find a shocking admission: she suffers from postpartum depression.
I'll just say it: I have post partum depression. So much love to @glamourmag for letting me share something that was eating me up inside for months and months. One of the most amazing things about social media is the ability to interact candidly with friends and fans and it felt so weird knowing what I was going through but not really feeling like it was the right place to speak on it. I've always felt genuinely close to all of you and I'm insanely relieved you now know something that has been such a huge part of me for so long. My full essay is on the @glamourmag bio. ❤
Teigen writes that she was changed very much after giving birth to her now 10-month-old daughter, Luna, whom she shares with singer-husband John Legend. “Getting out of bed to get to set on time was painful,” says Teigen, who returned to host Lip Sync Battle four months after delivering Luna.
At first, the Sports Illustrated model blamed her unhappiness to living in a hotel while her home was being renovated, but even after she moved into their family home, something still wasn’t right.
Coming from a first time mom like me I totally get it. This new venture can stress out even the toughest person but the reward makes it worth it. I mean, have you seen how adorable Luna is?
