Just a couple of days ago, it was announced that Disney was going to feature it’s first openly gay character in the live action remake of Beauty and the Beast.
Naturally, some people supported the initiative, while others were dead set against it; and now one Alabama theater owner is taking action.
According to TMZ, the owner of Henagar Drive-In Theatre said that he’s banning the movie because “he doesn’t want to expose his customers to the new gay character in the film,” and he refuses to “compromise on what the Bible teaches.”
He went on to say,
“If we can not take our 11 year old grand daughter and 8 year old grandson to see a movie we have no business watching it. If I can’t sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it.”
