People all over the world have been glued to the internet in hopes of witnessing the birth of a baby giraffe.
No seriously, April the giraffe is now more popular than Harambe the gorilla.
In fact, since last week, more than 80,000 people have been tuned in to upstate New York’s Animal Adventure Park’s live stream, waiting for the baby calf to be born.
In their latest Facebook update, Animal Adventure Park says that April the giraffe’s “activity remains normal,” and “though we may not have had a calf yesterday, that just means we are closer today.”
This will be April’s fourth calf and the first for the father, Oliver, and after the calf is born, Animal Adventure Park plans to let the public choose a name.
