The Downtown Food and Wine Festival is finally here!
Yep, for the next two days downtown, Orlando will be wrapped in the scents of grilled chicken, smoked pork, and roasted beef.
You can count on us to bring the food, wine, and scenery, but what should you bring?
Read on to see what you should bring with you to ensure you have the best time ever at our Downtown Food and Wine Fest.
They’re out there and they want your blood! Don’t spend the whole day swatting and smacking mosquitoes or nursing and scratching mosquitoes bites. Make sure you apply repellent, and make sure the repellent you bring has deet in it for maximum protection.
This is an outside event, temperatures will be in the 70s and 80s, and the sun will be out. Get that perfect tan without getting burnt! Make sure the sunscreen you get provides broad-spectrum protection, has a SPF of 30 or more, and is water resistant.
This event takes place by Lake Eola, which means you are outside. Ladies this is not the event where you wear those 6-inch heels, and fellas leave the wing tips at home. Make sure your shoes are comfortable. You’ll be doing a great deal of walking, and we have some amazing performers providing entertainment, so you’ll be doing a great deal of dancing too!
As mentioned earlier, the weather is going to be pretty warm, and you don’t want to walk around feeling sweaty and gross. Wear something loose fitting and cute, like a sundress or shorts. You may also want bring a towel to wipe the sweat from your brow.
Make sure you stay hydrated! You’ll be sipping on wine and dancing outside in 70 degree weather! We don’t want anyone to accidentally take a tumble into Lake Eola, so hydrate yourself with plenty of water.
Wear it! We don’t want to smell your armpits.
Lawn Chairs, Blankets, etc
Relax, have a good time, eat, drink, and just chill in the park. If you don’t want to be on you feet all day long, feel free to bring blankets and chairs, find a shady spot and just hang out by the lake. We’re going to be out there all day long and want you to hang out all day too.
Alka Seltzer, TUMS, Pepto Bismol
Bring this just in case you eat something that doesn’t agree with your stomach. We’d hate for you to have to leave the festival because of acid reflux, excessive gas or bubble guts.
Don’t you just hate when you want something to eat or drink, you have no cash, and there’s no ATM in sight? Cash is always king, make sure you have enough to get you through the day.
The weather is expected to be beautiful, but you know how fast weather changes in Florida. Bring an umbrella to be on safe side and at the very least, you can use it to provide shade.
