In an interview with Larry King, Regis Philbin admits that Kelly Ripa was not pleased when he left. Entertainment reports that when King asked him if she still keeps in touch with him, he replied “No, not really.”
Philbin also mentioned that the show “never once” asked him to return. He claims that Ripa took it personal and thought he was leaving because of her and says that he only left because he was getting older and it wasn’t right for him anymore.
Michael Strahan replaced Regis Philbin in 2012 and left last year for a role in Good Morning America.

Whoopi Goldburg stands up for Trump despite disliking her father and being vocal about it on The View.
Goldburg says that she will gladly sit next to Tiffany at the next fashion show. “Because nobody’s talking politics. You’re looking at fashion! She doesn’t want to talk about her dad! She’s looking at the fashion!” She says she thought it was mean and knows what it feels like.
