I’ve read all three books, I’ve seen the first movie, and yesterday I saw the second movie at an advanced screening of Fifty Shades Darker.
If I had to use just one word to sum up this movie, it’d be more.
In my opinion, the first movie was a little dry. The plot moved slowly, and at times it was just boring.
However, the second film installment of the Fifty Shades franchise had more sex, showed more skin, had more drama, more action, and this time around Anastasia and Christian’s awkwardness was a little endearing, cute, and funny.
This movie picks up where the book leaves off and stays pretty true to the original story. Christian is trying to win Anastasia back, and when he does, a couple of people and a near death instance work to tear them apart, but in the end everything seems to work, itself out … that is at least for now.
So, if you have some time (this IS a 2 hour long movie), you’re looking for a decent love story, or if you’re looking for some simple ideas to spice things up in the bedroom, this is the movie for you.
