Super Bowl Exercises to Burn Off the Calories


According to DietDetective, Super Bowl Sunday is the second biggest day for food consumption after Thanksgiving.

If you’ve been wondering just how much you have to burn off to make up for those calories, here are some exercise equivalents to the big pig out:

  • 5 pretzels = jumping up and down for 6 1/2 minutes
  • 6 Doritos chips = cleaning the house for 18 minutes
  • 2 pita chips with guacamole = praying for 65 minutes
  • 2 handfuls of potato chips = running 49 football fields
  • 6 loaded potato skins = doing “the wave” 6,389 times
  • A meatball sub = face painting 38 fans
  • Half of a stuffed-crust bacon/sausage/pepperoni pizza = 299 touchdown dances (each dance has to be 15 to 20 seconds)
  • 6 honey barbecue wings with dipping sauce = playing football for 59 minutes
  • One pint of ice cream = cleaning the Super Bowl stadium for 322 minutes
