Hotel rooms for ‘Groundhog Day’ are reportedly more expensive than the rooms for the Super Bowl. Trivago says the average price of a room in Pennsylvania is about $450 vs the average price for the Super Bowl is $350, reported by VOA News.
‘Groundhog Day’ dates back to the 19th century and is a predictor of when spring will arrive. How the story goes is that when the day is cloudy and the groundhog can not see its shadow, spring will arrive early. If it can see its shadow winter will last another six weeks supposedly.
