Jill Scott has weighed in on the ongoing Bill Cosby story in which more and more women have come forward accusing rape and sexual abuse by the legendary comedian and actor.
As Madame Noire points out, it all began for Scott when she retweeted a tweet likening the accusations against Michael Jackson in the ’90s to those currently being launched at Cosby.

This sparked a barrage of disappointment and anger from her followers, with the singer responding to a number of them. “It’s hearsay in a court of law. Tis all. Trust. If this is true, he’ll face his due just like everyone,” she said in one tweet. “I’m respecting a man who has done more for the image of Brown people that almost anyone EVER. From Fat Albert to the Huxtables,” Scott said in another.
