Lady Gaga Hospitalized for Altitude Sickness After Denver Concert

If you’ve spent any time in the mountains, you’ve heard the warnings to let your body acclimate to the altitude, as the air is thinner and you can wind up hurting yourself if you treat it like you would at a near-sea level state.

One can only imagine being a touring artist, asked to perform in such conditions.

These conditions have put pop icon Lady Gaga in the hospital, Billboard reports.

Gaga posted the below photo on her Instagram after being admitted to a Denver hospital for altitude sickness. Along with the pic, in which her stage makeup looks great, she wrote “Altitude Sickness is no Joke! #hitThatHospitalS–t #artRaveDenver many true ravers crowd tonight.”

Lady Gaga has one more stop on her ARTPOP tour, Seattle on Friday, before she makes her way overseas to perform in Japan.
