Hear Miley Cyrus Cover Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’

For Miley’s version, which was recorded for her recent MTV Unplugged special, but didn’t make the final cut, she creeps into a deep, southern twang to tell the tale of a rather long night.
Miley keeps things a little seedy with her country drawl, offering up lines like, “Now it’s three in the morning and I’m trying to change your mind/Left you multiple missed calls until my message you reply.” But, alas, the intended caller is having none of this, not that it stops Miley from just being Miley.
On the special, which aired last week, Miley returned to her country roots for a downhome special that had her twerkin’ with a horse and teaming up with Madonna for a countrified mash-up of “We Can’t Stop” and the Material Girl’s “Don’t Tell Me.”
