Jennifer Lopez Talks New ABC Family Show “The Fosters”
Aside from making new music and being a mom, Jennifer Lopez is also involved with a brand new scripted show on ABC Family called “The Fosters.”
JLo is sitting in the producers chair for this project rather than starring in the show about a biracial lesbian couple raising biological and adoptive children in the San Diego area.
When asked why she decided to produce a show rather than star in it, JLo simply said it’s just an extension of what she does.
“Producing for me is just a natural extension of what I do,” she said. “Once you get to a point where you’re in the business for a while, people bring your opportunities, and that’s what happened with The Fosters.”
She continued, “The show’s writers came to us and said ‘We have this script, this idea’ and we helped them develop it and get it on the air, and cast it and everything, so I’m proud of it. I think it’s a well done show about family and the non traditional families that exist today.”
The Fosters stars Teri Sholo, Sherri Shaum, Jake T Austin, and David Lambert.
You can catch The Fosters Monday nights on ABC Family.
