J. Cole has officially announced the release date for his Born Sinner album, June 18th, and he is officially set for a showdown with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

Born Sinner will be going head to head with my boy Kanye West‘s Yeesus album, if that wasn’t enough Mac Miller, who was the first independent artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, will be dropping Watching Movies With the Sound Off, as well as former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland‘s Talk a Good Game album.

I’m sure this won’t be the last you hear about this showdown, as the date approaches. As a music fan you can’t help but be excited about this. Although, it will garner a lot of attention, I don’t think there will be any question how this battle will shape out.

  1. Yeesus
  2. Born Sinner
  3. Watching Movies With the Sound Off
  4. Talk a Good Game

In that order with sales, I legitimately believe that Kanye might outsell all of the other three artists combined in the first week, you heard it hear first. I do believe that Cole will benefit from being released on the same date as Kanye because I feel as though they speak to similar audiences, Kanye on a bigger scale though.

Who do you think will win this showdown? Hit the comments and let me know, or tweet me: @itsMeanJean!
