Rumor has it that Orlando bars and clubs could push their curfews back until 3AM!
According to The Orlando Sentinel, The City of Orlando is trying to attract an older crowd and believe having bars stay open until 3am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights may help.
Other than having a million other rules like bars that stay open until 3AM will have to be 21 and up after midnight, police officers would be required to be on site and the bars would be required to have electronic ID scanners to avoid underage drinking. It sounds like it could be beneficial to the city if done in a responsible way.
Bars owners in Downtown Orlando think it’s a great idea, but the rules still have to be approved by the City.
