LL Cool J’s New App Comes To Life At CES

LL Cool J made an appearance at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) to show off his new MyConnect Studio app. The rapper has big plans to allow musicians to collaborate from different locations via their electronic devices.

For the demo at CES he recorded a song live in real-time with an engineer who was in New York City on Sony’s VAIO Tap 20!, according to the Windows Experience Blog.

The Liquid MyConnect Studio app is a product of LL Cool J’s company Boomdizzle and will launch on Windows 8.

“Windows 8 Allows us to do it across multiuple devices,” he explained to ESPN’s Jenn Brown at the CES. “Now we can do it in mobile in touch screen. We don’t have to configure our app for every device you have. It’s like one size fits all.”

He first announced the technology in Jun of 2012.

“I’m going to be doing a little bit of the album on the [MyConnect Studio], make sure that it is official,” he said at a press conference touting his partnership with Sony and his own social network Boomdizzle, which has launched the production software.
