Mean Jean’s Most Shockingly Bad Moments Of 2012 [UPDATED]

Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg Lion are considered legends in the music industry, but this year (in my opinion) they both had really bad moments. These missteps might not take away their legend status, but surely made it known that they would do anything for money, and a Burger King employee thought he was being anonymous, but wound up getting caught.

Let’s start with Mary J. When I read the headline ,”This is how far Mary J. Blige has fallen,” I surely didn’t expect to see what I saw on that fateful April afternoon. Let’s set the stage: Burger King (BK) had just started releasing their dream sequence commercials, some of which weren’t bad :

When Mary’s BK commercial leaked onto the internet I was shocked at what I saw. It was Mary standing on a table in a Burger King “restaurant” singing about the new chicken wraps?!?! Don’t believe me? See for yourself:

Mary claims that the commercial was taken out of context and “unfinished,” but I can’t see what else her singing the ingredients of the wrap could be used for. Sure Mary we believe you…no we don’t!

I’ve always said that I THOUGHT Snoop would do anything for money, but once I saw this three minute and 39 second Hot Pocket “remix,” to his most popular and only #1 single “Drop it Like it’s Hot,” I KNEW that he would. Check it out:

Although this was terrible, it wasn’t all bad for Snoop this year, as he got another Top 10 single as well as a GRAMMY nomination for “Young, Wild, and Free,” along with Wiz Khalifa and Bruno Mars.

This year wasn’t exaclty the best PR year for Burger King as one of their employees brought on some negative attention for posting a picture of himself standing in two bins of lettuce that were used for customers sandwiches. Get the full story and see the picture via Ohio’s Q-104.

So there you have it, my three shockingly bad moments of 2012. Let me know what you thought of them and tell me yours in the comments or tweet me @itsMeanJean.
