Black Friday is one week away from today and in order not to get confused, be stuck waiting in lines all day and miss out on those hot door busters, you must have a plan!

Luckily 102 JAMZ has your 2012 Black Friday Survival Guide. These following 5 tips will ensure that you get in and get out, divide and conquer and get the most out of your Black Friday holiday shopping spree experience.

1. Get sleep!

We know that the turkey and pie will leave you full and ready to nap, but honestly the earlier you get to bed the earlier you can get up. REMEMBER: Most sales start at midnight this year or even 4am. That’s the time where door busters and certain coupons are going to be available for use. Within the first 2 hours of Black Friday are always the best early bird sales that will save you the most money. So sleep!

2. Understand your coupons

The Thanksgiving Day newspaper will be filled with coupons and ads specifically for Black Friday shoppers. Read the fine print and know if the coupons are available for use all day or just from a certain time. For example, 2am-4am Door Busters!

3. Make a list, check it twice

Know what you are looking for beforehand. The stores will be having so many sales on items that you might not even need but in that moment of shopping bliss you might think you need 4 pairs of faux fur boots. You do not need them, you are in Florida! Make a list, check it twice, and only get what you need to buy for this holiday season.

4. Bring a friend

As we ladies know, having a friend go shopping with you is always your best accessory. Especially when buying clothes, you always need a second opinion. A friend can also help by keeping spots in line, getting items put on hold and help carry those big shopping bags. Divide and coquer people!

5. Only bring cash

If you have made a list, you can budget what amount you are going to need to be spending. When you can swipe any amount on a card, it can lead to over spending and that’s never a girl’s best friend. Bringing cash will ensure that you have a budget friendly shopping experience and you will be totally guilt free.

This is all you need to be a Black Friday shopping pro this year! So get up early, grab a Starbucks peppermint mocha latte and get to shopping this Black Friday. Good Luck!
