Chubb Rock In Town For The Florida Classic Anti-Bullying Anti-Hazing Symposium
Did you know that most bullying incidences start on the school bus? During our community show on 102 Jamz “Real Talk“, which airs Sunday mornings between 6am-7am, I asked New York Based Hip Hop Artist Chubb Rock, whether or not he was bullied as a kid. His answer, “When you’re 5 foot 11 at 13 years old, you’re not going to get bullied that much”!
Yes, he joked about it, but he does take the issue very seriously. He characterized himself as the protector of people when he came across someone being bullied. He also shared that his daughter is the same way, and I told him as a Bronx native, so am I! I definitely have been known to stand up for myself and I admit getting into a few little fights in elementary school with boys when they tried to get pushy with me just because I was a girl! (Most would never think that about me) but it’s true!
However, many children in our community are battling the issues of bullying and Chubb Rock wants to help educate our children, families, teachers and those in authority so they can help teach our children to have a voice. During the show, Chubb Rock discussed the Florida Classic Anti-Bullying & Anti Hazing Symposium which Chubb Rock will be on the panel and taking a part in many of the elements of the symposium along with a meet and greet!
