While the Disney Animation’s Wreck-It Ralph won the weekend box office battle, RZA chopped his way into ticket sales with his directorial debut, The Man With the Iron Fists.

The Man With the Iron Fists, which was in 1,868 theaters (compared to Wreck-It Ralph’s 3,752), opened at No. 4 with $8.2 million, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

As CBS Local recently reported, RZA also worked overtime on the soundtrack.

“It took us about eight months to score this film,” RZA told Billboard. “Then we were able to get some other great artists from the industry to come in and bless the soundtrack. We took the score music and then made it into song form and got people like Kanye West, Wiz Khalifa, the Black Keys, Corrine Bailey Rae, Pusha T, the entire Wu-Tang Clan — which I’m really happy about. The film is a great watch, and I think we really have a piece of eclectic music for the film that’s a great listen.”

Wreck-It Ralph, which had been favorably reviewed, opened this weekend with $49.1 million, the biggest debut from Disney Animation Studio.

Second place was Flight ($25 million), which stars Denzel Washington. Meanwhile the Ben Aflek-directed Argo, about the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis, dropped from first to fourth ($10.2 million). Taken 2, which is a follow-up to the 2009 action thriller, rounded out the list at No. 5, with a total of $6 million.
