2 Chainz is still burning up the road. The in-demand Atlanta rapper has announced a string of new dates for his sold-out Based on a T.R.U. Story tour

The rapper formerly known as Tity Boi said the tour is all about tapping into the special connection he has with his loyal fans.

“I never get tired of seeing, vibing, and sharing experiences with my fans,” 2 Chainz said in a statement. “It’s just me and them in an intimate setting, in a different city all over the country. We turn up and basically have a party in every city on stage.”

Chainz also added that he wasn’t sure how he would be embraced by the public at the start of the T.R.U. Story tour.

“When the first half of the tour started, the album had just dropped so I didn’t know what to expect,” he recalled. “Now that the album has been number 1 in the country, and every city has been sold out, I feel like the people enjoy what I bring to the table.”

Starting with a November 23 gig in Jacksonville, Florida, the second leg of the sold-out trek is set to end three days before Christmas.

While the tour represents his first ever headlining venture, 2 Chainz has been boosted by opening slots for superstar acts Drake and Nicki Minaj. With his Based on a T.R.U. Story album still making noise, the ATL-based MC will open up ticket sales for the tour on Friday, October 19, at 10 a.m. A complete listing of the T.R.U. Story trek is below.—Keith Murphy, CBS Local
