Trey Songz Bags New Movie Role
Trey Songz has joined the cast of the upcoming romantic comedy Baggage Claim. The Grammy-award nominated crooner, who in August released the No. 1 album Chapter V, will appear in the Fox Searchlight film based on the novel written by David E. Talbert.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Trey will be featured in the romantic comedy about a 35-year-old flight attendant driven to find a fiancé to take to her sister’s engagement party. Paula Patton is set for the starring role of Baggage Claim, which will also feature Adam Brody, Derek Luke, Montana Moore, Tay Diggs, Djimon Hounsou.
Filming for Baggage Claim will begin this month in Los Angeles. Steven J. Wolfe is on board as the producer. This is not Trey’s first time on the movie set. The singer has a leading role in the upcoming horror flick Millemnnium’s Texas Chainsaw 3D, which opens on January 5, 2013.—Keith Murphy, CBS Local
