4. Arrested Development: Lil Scrappy Released From Jail
Lil Scrappy, star of Love & Hip-Hop Atlanta, was jailed and released this week. While he was originally put on probation as a result of a 2008 marijuana charge, he was considered in violation for not reporting to the probation officer.
Mama Dee, Scrappy’s mother, called into V103’s Frank & Wanda morning show to mount her defense.
“I’m tired of the judicial system doing legalized pimpin’,” she said. “What’s going on is he failed to change his address!”
3. Kiss Off: When It Comes To Partisan Politics, T.I. Stands On Neutral Ground
In Lupe Fiasco‘s highly publicized back and forth with D.L. Hughley, in which they debated the rapper’s anti-voting stance, he tweeted this: “Obama doesn’t need radical rapper’s kissing his a**. He needs white people and swing votes to win this election.”
This week, in an interview with 92.3 NOW/NYC, T.I. responded.
“I don’t kiss nobody’s a**. I don’t care who you is,” T.I. said. “If you really don’t feel like this or you really don’t know anything about what you’re saying and you’re just speaking out your neck – as my grandmama used to say – I think that’s kissing a**.”

At the taping of the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta, Rick Ross and Young Jeezy had a backstage confrontation. But the fight spilled over to the parking lot as Ross’ protege Gunplay caught a beatdown by 50 Cent and his crew.
“I had to fight off five dudes,” Gunplay told TMZ. “They were a couple of 50 Cent’s peoples. I fought them off, kick one of they fat a**es, kicked them off in the dirt, and the police sprayed me with mace, and that was it. It was just a big ol’ melee.”
Another tape then emerged, which showed 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew, including Tony Yayo, among the mob that issued the beat down. As you know, one (or two) brawls don’t stop no show. After the fights have already aird, the BET Hip-Hop Awards will be broadcast Tuesday (October 9).
