Shots are still being fired after the BET Hip-Hop Awards Brawl. Gunplay, who was caught on camera fighting an alleged members of 50 Cent’s crew, continues to fan the flames.
The BET Hip-Hop Awards scuffle first included Rick Ross and Young Jeezy inside the Atlanta Civic Center on Saturday (September 29). But outside, Ross’ protege Gunplay was captured on video beating a man who was already down, before being pepper sprayed.
“I had to fight off five dudes,” he recently told TMZ of the fight. “They were a couple of 50 Cent’s peoples. I fought them off, kick one of they fat asses, kicked them off in the dirt, and the police sprayed me with mace, and that was it. It was just a big ol’ melee. It ain’t nothing that I ain’t been through before, it ain’t nothing that I don’t go through on a daily basis in my hood.”
When asked why there was a fight at all, Gunplay explained that it was a case of long-held grudge, and unrelated to the dustup between Young Jeezy and Maybach Music boss Rick Ross.
“This is two different things,” he said. “We just going at it with everybody. Let’s go. MMG Maybach Music, kill ’em all.”
Gunplay said 50 Cent was the one who orchestrated the attack, he admits that 50 didn’t get involved physically.
“He was hiding behind security, I couldn’t get to him,” Gunplay said. “I tried to break his little f***in’ neck.”
He later clarified the rumors that had him at the center of a gunshot.
“For the record, I did not shoot nobody,” he said. “I ain’t produce no firearm, I just tried to snap a lil’ twerp’s neck.”
