Q-Tip Spills The Beans: Kanye West’s “Cruel Winter” On Deck

There could be more G.O.O.D. Music to come from Kanye West and crew. The omnipresent rapper/producer, who is coming off last week’s brisk sales of the compilation album Cruel Summer, may be working on a follow-up due out next winter.

G.O.O.D. Music member Q-Tip dropped the news about a surprise follow-up that is unofficially being dubbed Cruel Winter.

“I know, I know, I’m sorry about that but I have to let the cat out of the bag,” he told Rapfix. “Kanye’s probably gonna get…If there’s a Cruel Summer then there’s got to be a Cruel Winter right? That’s all I’m saying.”

The former A Tribe Called Quest frontman was answering a question about why he wasn’t featured on the Cruel Summer compilation.

While Tip didn’t drop any further hints, his words left enough of a chill in the air for G.O.O.D Music fans. West is already basking in the glow of the release of Cruel Summer, which debuted at No. 2 on the SoundScan charts, selling 205,000 copies its first week.  —Keith Murphy, CBS Local
