Nas‘ Life Is Good has topped sales for all releases this week, giving the rapper his fifth No. 1 album.

The acclaimed MC has moved more than 148K copies of his tenth studio album, Life Is Good, according to SoundScan. It is the Queensbridge rapper’s fifth chart topper, which includes previous efforts It Was Written, I Am, Hip-Hop Is Dead, and Untitled.

Several songs from Life Is Good have offered a deeply personal view of Nas’ life as a father (“Daughters”) and divorcee (“Bye Baby”). In a recent interview with CBS Local, he gave some insight into the video choices he’s made and his plans for a “Bye Baby” clip.

“The next thing we are going to shoot is “Bye Baby,” he told CBS Local. “I want it to be right there in the center of things I’ve seen and I want to share that. What’s ill man, is this is a record that kids are going to be like, ‘I don’t need this. We might not reach certain people. But I think we will reach the right people. I am a 38-year-old dude so I’m talking about life from that perspective.”

Last week Nas’ Def Jam label mate Frank Ocean debuted at the No. 2 with his Channel Orange, selling over 130,000 copies despite the album only being sold through iTunes during its first seven days. His Channel Orange sold 54K in its second week to take the No. 4 spot, edging out Justin Bieber’s Believe, which sold 44K for a grand total of 648K.
