While visiting the “Windy City,” B.o.B stopped by B96/Chicago to chat about his new album Strange Clouds, his collaborative project with T.I. and his new track with Taylor Swift. His sophomore effort features even more notable guests, including Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz and Morgan Freeman.

Once Strange Clouds is released on May 1st, and T.I. puts out his new album Trouble Man, the two plan on diving into their long-awaited full collaborative effort. “We’re waiting to put out my album, then his album, and then we’re going to do the Man & The Martian project,” B.o.B said. “But we’re already working on it. We have songs recorded, the whole shebang.”

Whenever any two artists come together, it’s expected that there will be creative differences or hurdles to be met, but B.o.B has a positive outlook. “These types of projects are good because you can have fun and there’s not too much weighing on what it’s going to sound like. I think between me and him, the sounds that we can bring to the table, it’d be an amazing collaboration.”

When it comes to sorting out contrasting opinions, B.o.B said, “I think if there is any type of difference, it’s always about what can make it better. Of course, creatively, each party wants to make it better. I think because there’s such a contrast between what we’re doing, I think that makes it easier as opposed to if we were the same type of artist. That would make it more difficult.”

B.o.B has previous experience working with different types of artists on Strange Clouds. A month ago rumors began swirling about a possible collaboration with country star Taylor Swift on his new album, and T.I. stepped in and confirmed it.

B.o.B is much more open about it now since the album release date is just around the corner. When speaking about the info leaking, B.o.B explained, “The cat got out of the bag. When it happens you can’t really do anything about it. It’s crazy because it started with her bringing me out on her set in Dallas, and me playing a song for her. I really didn’t think she was going to like it, but she loved it. The rest is history.” Their track together is entitled “Both of Us.”
