Diggy Simmons will be celebrating his 17th birthday tonight, in an event that will be live-streamed online just one week before the release of his debut album Unexpected Arrival.

“The vibe of this album is me being me,” he told No Limit Larry from “The Maddhouse” morning show in Charlotte, NC (Power 98). “I could never put a name of a sound on it but people say it carries that vibe… [It's] my flavor but it feels kinda old school with the production and feel.”

Diggy, who will be turning 17 on March 21–one day after the release of his new album–will be live-streaming his birthday celebration this evening along with some of his fans, which he calls “Jet Setters.”

“A lot of times kids at school wouldn’t be into the things like fashion design,” Diggy says, explaining the “Jet Setter” designation. “And I saw that my fans were a reflection of me. That’s why I call them my Jet Setters because we are alike and those are my supporters and I love them.”

Diggy’s celebration will be streamed live online sometime between 6-7 PM this evening (March 13, 2012) for his Jet Setters. His new album, Unexpected Arrival, is due out March 20, 2012.
