Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Picks Up An Academy Award For The Movie ‘Undefeated’

Sean [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Diddy[/lastfm] Combs has added another accomplishment to his belt tonight picking up his first Academy Award for the documentary ‘Undefeated’.

It’s been a crazy 24 hours for [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Diddy[/lastfm] but getting dunked over by Chase Budinger is not the coolest thing that happened to him this weekend. Tonight the music mogul picked up an Academy Award for the documentary Undefeated.

Now, Sean Combs didn’t exactly take part in producing the original film, however he has signed on as Executive Producer in the remake that will be distributed through The Weinstein Company.

Undefeated follows three underprivileged athletes who rise as champions after going through challenging circumstances. Congratulations to [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Diddy[/lastfm] and the rest of the team!

Rule Twelve: Special Rules for the Documentary Awards
“Production companies or persons with the screen credit of executive producer, co-producer or any credit other than director or producer shall not be eligible as nominees for the motion picture.”

Mr. Combs did NOT win the Oscar.
(That’s why he was not on stage during the acceptance speech.)

Still an impressive win, and it probably qualifies him for an asterisk on Wikipedia’s EGOT page, once he gains the others. Currently, he only has the “G”.
