Nicki Minaj Has The Billboard Critics’ Pick For Best Song Of 2011

Billboard is back with their Critics’ Picks: 20 Best Songs of 2011, I’m a bit of an upset Nicki Minaj took the top spot on the list, find out which song. Apparently they forgot that “All of the Lights,” was officially released as a single in January of 2011.

  1. Nicki Minaj – “Superbass” (ft. Ester Dean)
  2. Adele – “Someone Like You”
  3. Brittany Spears – “Until the World Ends”
  4. Jay Z & Kanye West – “Ni**as in Paris”
  5. Kelly Rowland – “Motivation” (ft. Lil Wayne)
  6. Frank Ocean – “Novacane”
  7. Bon Iver – “Holocene”
  8. Lady Gaga – “Edge of Glory”
  9. Chris Brown – “Look At Me Now” (ft. Lil Wayne & Busta Rhymes)
  10. Adele – “Rolling in the Deep”
  11. The Joy Formidable – “Whirring”
  12. Beyonce – “Countdown”
  13. Radiohead “Lotus Flower”
  14. Nicola Roberts – “Beat My Drum”
  15. Drake – “Take Care” (ft. Rihanna)
  16. SBTRKT – “Wildfire”
  17. DJ Khaled – “I’m On One” (ft. Drake, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross
  18. Pistol Annies – “Hell on Hells”
  19. M83 – “Midnight City”
  20. Rihanna – “We Found Love” (ft. Calvin Harris)

Jeanius Thoughts:

Interesting list by Billboard, like I stated before I’m surprised that “All of the Lights” was forgotten. I also thought Adele was a lock for number one, but being the only artist to have two songs in the Top 10 as a featured artist they didn’t want to give her too much. Interesting to see Lil Wayne wasn’t in the Top 20 for any of his songs, pleasant surprise, the number one isn’t on my Top 10 I don’t hate it though. What do YOU think about the list? Hit the comments and let me know!
