His new single “Hard White (Up In The Club)” features [lastfm]Lil John[/lastfm] and serves as a great intro to [lastfm]Yelawolf[/lastfm] for those who missed his Trunk Muzik mixtapes, themselves regarded as some of the hottest new hip hop to hit the scene in recent years.

Here’s the video for “Hard White (Up In The Club)” feat. [lastfm]Lil John[/lastfm]:

[pullquote quote="When you shake a up a snowglobe of Gadsden you're gonna get... ash from burnt trees falling over Southside and Rainbow City" credit="Yelawolf"][lastfm]Yelawolf[/lastfm] has a real name: he was born Michael Wayne Atha in Gadsden, Alabama. Growing up there and in Tennessee, he absorbed the music of the nascent Southern rap scenes that were beginning to bubble up at the time. Recently he returned to his family’s home in Alabama for a photo shoot, click play below to see how the trip home prompted Yela to dig up all sorts of stories from his past.
