With the N.W.A. bio-pic in it’s pre-production stages, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eazy-E[/lastfm]’s son and daughter are both wanting to play the part of their dad in the movie. But it’s up to John Singleton the director on who will win the overall roll of the late Eazy-E.

According to Hiphopwired.com:

Eazy E’s son isnt the only one who wants the role of his father in the upcoming N.W.A. movie, his 20-year-old sister Erin Bria Wright is also being vocal about playing the part of her late father.

“I have dreamed of getting this role for many years now, as I have always been inspired by how Hilary Swank played a boy in “Boys Don’t Cry,” Wright said in a press release after learning of her brother’s intentions to obtain the role.

“I feel the role of my dad in a biopic should “Not” just be a “given” to my brother [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Eazy[/lastfm] solely on the strength that he is my father’s junior,” she wrote.

“I think my brother should have to audition and earn the role by delivering a great read instead of just being handed the role—and I’d like to add that I feel I should have that same opportunity to audition for the role as well, and be given equal consideration based on my acting ability and not just my relation.”

As recently reported, a movie about the influential West Coast rap group, N.W.A. is currently in pre-production stages.

Former member[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Ice Cube[/lastfm] will serve a one of the producers for the film entitled Straight Outta Compton, while John Singleton has been tapped to direct.

I really don’t see how his daughter will try and pull of the part of her dad without making him come across feminine in the movie. Her voice alone is gonna make him sound weird and she would not be a good choice in my opinion.
