Note to self: Do not mess with Terrence Howard or his wife. The Hustle & Flow star recently called up a stranger’s phone and allegedly threatened to kill them.
As it turns out the whole thing was just a big misunderstanding.
[pullquote quote=”If you call my wife again I’m going to come to your house and I’m going to cut your f*****g throat.” credit=”Terrence Howard”]RadarOnline.com is reporting that Howard left a voicemail for someone he didn’t know that went a little something like this:
“N***a, you been calling my wife… If you call my wife again I’m going to come to your house and I’m going to cut your f*****g throat,” Terrence says in the message. “Understand that. I’m gonna tell you this one time. You call my wife again, I’m going to kill you.”
So, here’s the mix-up…
Apparently someone has been harassing Howard’s wife. Another woman, not the harasser, stumbled upon Howard’s phone number through a friend who knew the actor. Being super classy and mature, this random woman got drunk and decided to prank call Terrence Howard and profess her undying love for him. Problem: Her phone was dead so she borrowed a friends.
This friend then got an angry message threatening to kill him… from Mr. Howard.
Apparently Terrence figured out what happened and felt really bad. He called the guy’s phone again and left an apologetic email revealing that his wife had been receiving harassing messages and assumed that the two incidents were related. Howard then sent another message, this time via text, apologizing again.
“My wife told me that she was receiving obscene text from you and that she was being harassed. Therefore I responded with the protective nature that a husband has for his wife,” Terrence wrote. “Forgive me for the anger, but as you are watching over your girl friend, I too am devoted to my love.”
Aww, that’s kind of sweet… except for the death threat part.
