The Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association hosts this annual event honoring local law enforcement, fire & rescue, EMS and hotel security personnel.
Patriots Day, September 10th, 2011. Downtown Ocoee
The GFWC Woman’s Club of Ocoee and the Ocoee Lions Club host this event in Downtown Ocoee to celebrate veterans, freedom and remember the lives lost on September 11th.
9-11 Heroes Run, September 11th, 2011. 7:30am at Central Winds Park, in Winter Springs, FL.
Honor the heroes of 9/11 with a 5K or family walk.
Windermere Memorial, September 11th, 2011. 1pm at Town memorial.
Join community leaders as they honor the victims of September 11 at the town memorial.
Sixth Annual 9/11 Blood and Bone Marrow Drive, September 10th, 2011. 8am-8pm at the Daytona International Speedway.
Donors receive a free admission to the 2012 Subway Jalapeno 250, a commemorative T-shirt, a chance to win Daytona 500 tickets and more.
Brevard Remembers 9/11, September 11th, 2011. 1pm-2:30pm at the Space Coast station center.
As many as 8,000 people are expected to stand together to remember loved ones lost, support their families, honor first responders and appreciate America’s active and reserve military, who have stepped forward to protect us both at home and abroad ever since.
9/11 Memorial Event, September 11th, 2011. 11am at the Brevard County fire station 49 Viera.
The event will feature the BCFR Honor Guard, bagpipers and more. The highlight will be the unveiling of the memorial which features an 1821-pound steel beam from the World Trade Center towers from the New York/New Jersey Port Authority.
The 2011 Memorial Ride, September 11th, 2011. 9:30am at the Flagler Government Service Building.
A memorial service will be held honoring the fallen and the heroes followed by the annual memorial run paying tribute to fellow firefighters and Americans.
