It’s been a long time since we’ve heard from [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Clipse[/lastfm] and now we know why. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Pusha T[/lastfm] from the group has signed a solo deal and is looking to stay in the music game.
According to Hiphopwired.com:
Clipse member Pusha T has signed a solo recording contract with Def Jam Records, according to KarenCivil.com.
“Solidifying my first solo venture, G.O.O.D Music/DefJam is my home. That machine with my creativity is gonna make for satisfied hiphop fans,” said Pusha.
The Virginia rapper’s mixtape follow up Fear of God 2 is scheduled to drop September 27.
He recently announced that he was nixing plans to release his first studio LP on Black Friday.
No new date has been given.
Sometimes it’s best to just venture out on your own if you are part of a group that refuses to grow. The Clipse as a group did have a couple of hits buts thats about it.
