China Says Kanye West Is A Threat To Their Culture

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kanye West[/lastfm] isn’t the threat to China it’s the song ET that he’s featured on w/[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry[/lastfm] that got banned for being a threat. ET joins a long list of other songs that got banned in China for that same reason.

Kanye West and Katy Perry’s aren’t the only artist to get their jamz officially banned from the Internet in China. The Ministry of Culture department has announced that artist like [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Gaga[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]The Backstreet Boys[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Katy Perry[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Beyoncé Knowles[/lastfm] and  [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Britney Spears[/lastfm] to name a few have been banned from officially banned from the Internet and even personal websites.

Reports say:

ET  was one of 100 tracks banned due to their threat to Chinese culture and are considered tasteless and vulgar

Now this isn’t new for the Chinese government, they began regulating music on the Internet two years ago.
