Casey Anthony Found Not Guilty Of First Degree Murder

Today at 2:15 PM, Judge Belvin Perry brought the jury in the Casey Anthony trial into the courtroom to have their verdict read. And to the shock of many, Casey Anthony was found not guilty of first degree murder, aggravated child abuse, and aggravated manslaughter of a child.

Of the seven counts against her, Casey Anthony was found guilty only of the four charges of providing false statements to a law enforcement officer. At the close of the reading of the verdict, Judge Perry announced that sentencing on the four charges will be made on Thursday.

Is this what you expected? Do you think that the prosecution failed to present evidence that she was guilty of murder? It’s safe to say that even though this is the end of the most famous trial so far this century, this isn’t the last we’ll hear of Casey Anthony.

The jury did a great job. The prosecution proved that she was a liar and they returned the proper verdict: guilty of lying. The prosecution didn’t prove she killed or harmed Caylee, so the jury did the right thing and found her not guilty.

I am completely disgusted and disappointed in our ‘supposed’ justice system. There was no justice here at all. None.
