The ex-manager of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]R Kelly[/lastfm] says that because of misuse of the fees he was supposed to be paid, he is suing the singer for those same fees that Kelly allegedly paid off his sex accusers with.

According to HiphopDX.com the full story goes like this:

R. Kelly’s ex-manager Jeff Kwatinetz has filed a lawsuit against the Pied Piper, accusing him of refusing to pay him more than $1 million in commission and instead using the money on paying off several parties who accused him of sexual misconduct.

According to TMZ.com, Kwantinetz is seeking at least $1 million in unpaid commissions and punitive damages, crediting himself for helping to keep Kellz’s career afloat after his public image suffered due to child pornography charges.

He claims that he “guided Kelly through the recording of two new albums, substantial multi-million dollar tours … a book deal, and a myriad of other appearances and events,” and that “Kelly reaped millions of dollars” from his efforts.

Kelly failed to pay him his 15 percent commission and has consistently refused to do so.

Kelly’s spokesperson has fired back at the claims, branding them “a collection of half-truths, distortions, and outright fabrications.”

“Mr. Kwatinetz is a disgruntled former manager who apparently feels the need to try to seek retribution for his discharge,” reads the statement.

“It is particularly disturbing, given his job as a professional talent manager and trusted adviser, that he would feel the need to lash out and dish what he thinks is dirt against a former client.”

If the ex-manager proves his case in court? My question would be, How can R Kelly be soo ungrateful to the person who actually did get his career back on track? If it wasn’t for him, he would be a serious outcast even more so than [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Chris Brown [/lastfm]was.
