The hip hop world is buzzing right now over the recent news regarding the shooting of the late [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tupac Shakur[/lastfm]. New details have been released and a man has come forward confessing to taking part in the shooting of rapper 2pac outside of a Manhattan studio 17 years ago.
Dexter Isaac admitted to helping attack [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]2pac[/lastfm] outside of Manhattan’s Quad Studios in November of 1994 which resulted in the rapper being shot five times. Isaac claims that he is a former friend of Jimmy Henchman and was paid $2,500 by Henchman to help attack [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]2pac[/lastfm].
Isaac is currently serving life in prison for robbery and murder and came forward on Wednesday to confess about his role in the attack. The confession came because Jimmy Henchman, who is currently on the run from federal officials for a recent indictment stemming from dealing large amounts of cocaine, mentioned Dexter Isaac’s name in a recent statement to Allhiphop.com about him being indicted and hinting that Isaac could be a snitch behind it.
Isaac told AllHipHop.com:
“I want to apologize to his family [Tupac Shakur] and for the mistake I did for that sucker [Jimmy Henchman],” Dexter Isaac told AllHipHop.com from prison. “I am trying to clean it up to give [Tupac and Biggie's] mothers some closure.”
Dexter Isaac and Jimmy Henchman have been lifelong friends and business partners since 1989. Isaac claims that he was never involved in any cooperation with federal officials for the indictment of Henchman.
The shooting sparked a never-ending feud between [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]2pac[/lastfm] and the [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Notorious B.I.G.[/lastfm] which resulted in both rappers being murdered 6 months apart. Both murders remain unsolved.
