According to reports,
Jamie Foxx has teamed up with BET Networks to produce “Showtime at the Apollo.” Foxx and the show’s original executive director, Don Weiner are finalizing a deal to produce a pilot for the long-running syndicated variety show to make its official comeback. If picked up, “Showtime” will air as a primetime series on BET.
Wow I’m excited, cause Showtime at the Apollo has been off the air since 2008 and that’s where real talent use to be found ([lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Maxwell[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Destiny Child[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Notorious Big[/lastfm]) and bad ones got boo’d.
