[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ja Rule [/lastfm]prison senetence has been delayed, he pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon in December. That’s a felony. As part of his deal, he agreed to do two years in the clink. Police found a loaded semiautomatic weapon in his vehicle back in July of 2007.

According to my sources:

JA RULE has caught a break. I guess. He was supposed to begin his two-year prison sentence last month, but his sentencing has been delayed again. A judge is giving him some more free time to take care of a federal tax issue.

Ja Rule’s lawyer said he’ll also use this time to do some recording . . . quote, “We want to finish the album, and there’s also a tax issue. Somebody, an accountant, had filed an incorrect form, and this is to correct what was done in the past.”

I guess that’s what our fore fathers wanted when they came up with the justice system? A chance for hip hop fans to not-buy another album from Ja Rule before he gets locked up! He ‘s still gonna have an IRS tax bill when he returns and maybe even more.
